This article covers assigning permissions for new or existing users. The diagram below shows the relationship between Roles, Users and Groups. Users will be assigned permissions via groups rather than individual permissions.

NOTE: Groups can only be assigned to Internal users

Guides to create new roles and user groups:

Assigning Permissions for Users

There are two methods to assign permissions to Users:

  1. Adding users to Groups to inherit permissions given to that group

  2. Managing individual permissions for users at the user level

1) Assigning users to a group

This method allows for multiple users to be added to groups.

Navigate to User Group in Settings. Click on Users tab.

A dialog opens titled Add users to group.

Here, multiple users can be added.

Select "Save" to complete.

2) Assigning permission to an individual user

Navigate to Settings > Users. In the user listing, click on an internal user row. When the panel opens click on the Groups tab.

Click on add user to groups button. Dialog titled Add user to groups opens. Multiple groups can be added

Click on the cross will remove the added group. Click Save to add a user to the group. The dialog closes and added groups will be updated in the panel.

To remove permissions from Users, read the remove permission article
