What is File Vault?

File Vault is a module within the Veratrak platform to allow clients to securely share files within their company and with customers and suppliers. Customers can manage access to files, for view-only usage, and create folders for recurring exchanges with their supply chain partners. All activity in File Vault is tracked in Veratrak's Audit Log, giving customers confidence in activity history and visibility.

Create Folders & Share with Colleagues and Guests

Users can create folders within File Vault and build the folder structure and hierarchy for a wide range of use cases, like batch records, files requested for an audit, or approved templates to be used in Veratrak workspaces.

Each folder can have its own unique permissions and access control. Learn more about Sharing Files and Managing Permissions.

Manage File Versions & View History

Permissioned users with access to file details can upload new versions of existing files, and manage active versions of files with multiple versions. All version history and file activity is captured in Veratrak's Audit Log.

Watch Files & Folders to Receive Notifications

Users with appropriate access to subscribe to a file or folder to receive notifications about new version activity or new contents added to a folder. Use this feature if you're collaborating with a partner and want to know when new content has been added!

What Files can be uploaded?

The approved list of file formats is listed below. Veratrak's current individual file size limit is 5GB.

Who can access File Vault and its contents?

File Vault uses a permissions system that combines role-level permissions of a user and file/folder level permissions to create a flexible system to control who can see what files, and what they are able to do with them.
